2. Applicable Law

This privacy policy is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG, in force since 1 September 2023). Where visitors access this website from the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies.

3. Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you actively provide it:

  • Contact form: name, email address, company name (optional), and message content
  • Server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time of access — collected automatically for technical operation and security purposes

This website does not use cookies, analytics tools, tracking pixels, or any third-party data collection services. No data is shared with advertising networks.

4. Purpose and Legal Basis

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • Contact form submissions: to respond to your enquiry and conduct an initial assessment of a potential engagement. Legal basis: your consent (nDSG Art. 6 / GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Server logs: for technical operation, security, and error diagnosis. Legal basis: legitimate interest (nDSG / GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

5. Data Retention

Contact form enquiries are retained for up to 3 years from the date of receipt, or until no longer required for the purpose for which they were collected, whichever is earlier. Server logs are deleted automatically after 30 days.

If an engagement results, data relevant to the mandate may be retained for the duration required by applicable legal obligations (typically 10 years under Swiss law).

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Data may be disclosed to third parties only where required by law or with your explicit consent.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable Swiss and EU law, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — to obtain confirmation of whether we hold your personal data and receive a copy
  • Right to rectification — to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure — to request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations
  • Right to restriction — to request that processing be limited in certain circumstances
  • Right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (GDPR only)
  • Right to object — to object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Right to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Supervisory Authority

If you believe your data protection rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority:

  • Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) — www.edoeb.admin.ch
  • EU: the data protection authority of your country of residence

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL. Material changes will be communicated where we hold contact details for affected individuals.
